Trevor Lee
Class of 2026
Defensive Line
Committed to IUP
CAP Program athlete Trevor Lee, from York, Pennsylvania recently just announced his commitment to further his football and academic career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Trevor is the youngest brother of three, but is following in the footsteps of his older brother Jalen who is currently playing football at Bloomsburg. Trevor gives credit to AFL and the CAP Program for his growth and success.
Before joining the CAP Program Lee says he didn’t know a lot, and thought it was just TheFactoryBMA stuff that Coach Cregger held. Lee says “I didn’t know much about AFL and the CAP Program but learned about it when Coach Stoner held a seminar informing athletes about the program explaining the vision and structure behind the program.”
“Coach Stoner held a seminar where he talked about the CAP program and the stuff put in place for all of the kids. I thought at that moment that it was everything that I had wished for and it was a no-brainer for me. The next day me and my brother came in for a workout and I’ve been coming ever since.” From that moment on, Lee was fully committed to the process and what it took to be a college football player.
The coaches and players inside the building stood out to Lee as soon as he walked into the building. Lee says the atmosphere was very supportive from both coaches and players. When Lee was asked about his experience with other players in the building, he said, “Being with a lot of athletes from other schools has been a great experience because it has helped me become friends with people I probably wouldn’t have met if we didn’t go to AFL. Playing against all of the guys is great because we all know each other and seeing all of us commit to different schools now has been really special.”
The players inside the building weren’t the only source of support for Lee. Lee gives credits to all the coaches in terms of improving his development, but made sure to give a special shoutout to Coach Kingsley. “I love all the coaches at AFL as they have helped me become a better football player and a better person off the field. Being around Coach Kingsley has been a great experience, and he has helped me push myself in the weight room and also strengthen my relationship with the Lord. He has shown nothing but love, and I’m very grateful for all the coaches at AFL.” At AFL, a family oriented hard-working atmosphere is what the program strives for daily.
Since joining the CAP Program Lee says he has seen himself grow both physically and mentally. When he was asked about his growth since joining, he said, “The CAP program has helped me become bigger, faster, and a lot stronger than I was. It has also helped me become more mentally tough when things get hard and overall has helped me get to college. The program has helped me become a better person and really take that next step in my journey with the Lord, and to just have a space where you can come workout, talk, and have fun has helped if I was stressed out about anything.”
Lee, without hesitation, said he would absolutely recommend the CAP Program to other athletes, especially those who want to play college football. Being surrounded by other athletes who share the same goal pushes everyone in the building to be the best version of themselves every day, he says. Lee added, “For all the young guys, you just have to trust the process and work hard because Coach Stoner has the blueprint to get you to college, you just have to follow it and work harder than everyone else.”
Lee will further his academic and athletic career at IUP in the Fall playing Defensive Tackle for the Crimson Hawks. He said he has a good relationship with Coach Wilson, the Defensive Line coach at IUP and is excited to get to work. He said his talks with his family, and Coach Stoner helped him break down his options and find the best fit for him.
