Gabe Clabaugh

Class of 2026
Offensive Line
Committed to Lock Haven

Gabe Clabaugh, a recent offensive line commit to Lock Haven University and current senior at Susquehannock High School in southern Pennsylvania is taking his talent up north to continue his academic and athletic career.

After hearing nothing but good things about AFL and the CAP Program throughout the area, he decided to check it out for himself. Clabaugh said that from the moment he walked into AFL, he noticed how committed not only the athletes were, but the coaches as well. When asked about the coaching staff he described them as very personal and supportive, adding, “The coaches care about more than just the game, they care about the players, and you feel that right away.”

Clabaugh also mentioned that the CAP Program holds students to a high academic standard, emphasizing the importance of good grades while offering support whenever athletes need extra help in school.

In 2024, when he was a sophomore in high school Clabaugh first attended AFL, and credits the competitive environment as a key factor in his development. “Training alongside athletes from different schools who share the same goal of playing college football created a high-intensity atmosphere that pushed me every day.” He also said the program helped him build a better body and greatly improve his overall physical health.

Clabaugh said his decision to attend Lock Haven had a great deal to do with the coaching staff and the community. “I would definitely say the coaches and community at Lock Haven played a big part in my decision to go there.” The coaches made it clear that they believed in him and his development both on and off the field.

When asked for one piece of advice he would give to younger athletes hoping to play college football someday, he kept it short and simple, quoting, “Competition gives you drive.” Clabaugh lives by this quote and got to experience it firsthand throughout his time at AFL and the CAP Program.
