This young skilled running back has shown a strong case to be the next gem in the YAIAA. As a freshman, Vellon showed his electric abilities with the ball in his hands. A back that can beat you with both speed and agility, this freshman made veteran defenders look like it was their first game ever.

Playing for the Bearcats, a program that has a strong history of high-level running back play, look for John to continue to improve his skill set of footwork, vision, and receiving skills as he matures through high school. Even with sharing the load with RB Shavane Anderson who has multiple D1 offers, expect John to see more of the workload either rushing or receiving as he goes into his sophomore year.
